Biography

Stella Rousaki is an actress / author and theatre director whose work focuses on psychological theatre and include topics of human communication, the difficulty of expressing true love, the challenges of adapting to reality and the need for a personal reality that we can endure, freedom, the light and darkness of our souls, the unyielding power of time over human existence. Beginning her career in the theater, Stella Rousaki has brought to life numerous narratives on stage before transitioning into the literary world. With a background in medical research, and a passion for cultural dialogue, she aims to connect diverse audiences through powerful storytelling. 


Stella Rousaki was born and raised in the island of Crete/ Greece. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences (class of 2011) and a master’s degree in Νeoplasmatic diseases (Medicine school, 2015). She then studied acting at ''Vasilis Diamandopoulos Drama School'' in Athens ( scholarship of 2018). She also studied acting on camera with the internationally renowned director Pandelis Voulgaris and attended acting seminars with Andreas Manolikakis, Eleni Scotti, and others. She participated as an actress in six stage plays and had a guest role on a Greektelevision series. She has written five stage plays and a script for a short movie, candidate for local and international film festivals. Her first writing attempt was the stage play ''White Reality'' which was published from August 16, 2024 as a novel in USA  and in 140 countries all over the world. She wrote ''Τennessee- The Spectacle of Time'' (2020) which is a play based on the life of American author Tennessee Williams, and is going to be showed in Athens as a stage play. In 2022, she wrote the play ''When the Clock Stops Ticking'' which was chosen to partake in''Off-Off'' Theatre Festival of Athens.
